Music Road Resort Hotel and Inn

Music Road Resort Hotel and Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Included breakfast is a definite draw for me and my family. This starts your day off with a solid meal. Scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage patties, thoroughly cooked steel cut oats, fruit and yogurt with all the fixin's, cinnamon buns, bagels and cream cheese, milk and cereal, and of course, the old staple, fresh made waffles from the waffle maker. Coffee was hot and fresh. The food offerings were checked and refilled often. The staff were extraordinary and professional. We especially enjoyed the lazy river and pool area. There was an indoor AND an outdoor pool. Both water temps were kept comfortable. An outdoor jacuzzi was also available, but we did not use it. Towels were provided at poolside. The pool area was closing in on the end of the season, but was clean and serviceable. Hotel desk staff are great "tour guides" and are a virtual fountain of information. They are courteous, professional, and good natured. Check-in and check-outs were simple and FAST! Microwave, micro-fridge and coffee pot are included with the room. All were functional and in good working order. Pigeon Forge is where the action is. Gatlinburg is beautiful, but once you have shopped the downtown and road a skylift, you have done Gatlinburg. Troubles me to write this review because we may want to visit Pigeon Forge again, and may have to compete for rooms in this hotel. I recommend staying Monday-Friday. Weekends are hectic and traffic becomes a nightmare during the weekend. Kudos to the staff!"
